Your luxury Uganda gorilla adventure begins at Entebbe International Airport. After completing arrival procedures, meet your representative and transfer privately to your selected high-end hotel in Entebbe.

The first day is kept relaxed so that you can recover from your international journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy the hotel facilities, dine at the property or take an optional private excursion around Entebbe.

Your safari guide or representative will brief you about the journey ahead and confirm the arrangements for the gorilla trek. This is also an opportunity to check your trekking equipment and ensure you have appropriate footwear, clothing and rain protection.

After breakfast, depart Entebbe in a private safari vehicle and begin the journey toward southwestern Uganda. The road journey is scenic and offers an excellent introduction to Uganda outside the capital.

Travel through agricultural communities, towns and rolling countryside while your driver-guide shares information about Uganda’s landscapes, culture and wildlife. A stop around the Equator can be arranged for photographs and refreshments.

Continue toward the southwestern highlands, where the terrain becomes increasingly mountainous. Lunch is taken at a suitable restaurant or lodge along the route. As you approach Bwindi, enjoy impressive views of terraced hills, valleys and forest-covered ridges.

Check into your luxury lodge near the appropriate gorilla trekking sector. Many high-end lodges around Bwindi are positioned to maximize views of the forest or surrounding mountains and provide comfortable rooms, excellent dining and attentive service. Spend the evening relaxing before your trek.

Today is the defining experience of your 6 Day Luxury Uganda Gorilla Safari. Wake early and enjoy breakfast before transferring to the relevant Uganda Wildlife Authority briefing point. Park rangers explain trekking procedures, conservation rules and how visitors should behave when approaching the gorillas.

You will then be assigned to a habituated gorilla family and begin the trek with experienced trackers and ranger guides. Bwindi’s rainforest is mountainous and dense. Trekking conditions depend on the season, recent weather and the location of your assigned gorilla family.

The walk may take a few hours or extend considerably longer.

One advantage of choosing a six-day luxury itinerary is that you do not have to leave the gorilla region immediately after trekking. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and spend time appreciating Bwindi’s beautiful surroundings.

Depending on your interests, an optional guided forest walk, community visit or cultural experience may be arranged. A community experience can introduce you to the people living around the park and demonstrate how tourism contributes to local livelihoods.

You may learn about traditional farming, crafts, music or other aspects of life around the forest. Travelers more interested in nature may prefer a forest or birding walk accompanied by a knowledgeable guide.

Bwindi is exceptionally rich in birdlife and plant diversity, making even a quiet morning around the lodge rewarding. The afternoon can be reserved for rest, photography or simply enjoying the comfort and surroundings of your lodge.

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and begin a relaxed transfer toward your next overnight destination. Depending on the overall routing, this day can be used to break up the return journey to Entebbe rather than spending the entire day on the road.

The journey passes through southwestern Uganda’s cultivated highlands and rural communities. Your private guide can make appropriate photographic and refreshment stops. Lunch is arranged at a comfortable location along the way.

Arrive at your selected lodge or hotel later in the afternoon and enjoy a relaxed evening. For travelers preferring to minimize road travel, flight-based alternatives may be considered when available and compatible with the confirmed itinerary.

Enjoy breakfast before beginning the final transfer to Entebbe. Travel through central Uganda with stops as required. If time permits and you did not stop earlier, your guide can arrange a visit around the Equator for photographs and souvenir shopping.
