Arrival in Entebbe
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and meet your safari representative. Transfer to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your flight. Depending on arrival time, optional activities around Entebbe may be arranged.

Entebbe to Western Uganda
After breakfast, begin your journey into western Uganda. Travel through rural communities and agricultural landscapes. Stop around the Equator for photographs and refreshments where the routing allows.
Continue toward your overnight destination. The twelve-day schedule is designed to keep driving days manageable while giving you time to observe Uganda beyond its protected areas.

Day 03
Enter Uganda’s Wildlife Circuit
After breakfast, continue toward a major wildlife destination. As you approach the national park, the scenery changes from agricultural land to more natural savannah or woodland. Begin your first game drive.
Look for elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs and other wildlife. Your guide will also point out birds and explain the relationships between different species and habitats. Arrive at your lodge for dinner.

Day 04
Full-Day Wildlife Exploration
Wake early and depart for a game drive. The cooler morning hours often provide particularly rewarding animal activity. Explore different wildlife-viewing tracks while searching for elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and predators.

Forest, Wildlife or Primate Experience

After breakfast, continue exploring western Uganda. Depending on your final route, travel toward Queen Elizabeth National Park or another major protected area. The Albertine Rift contains some of Uganda’s most beautiful scenery, including lakes, escarpments, crater landscapes and distant mountain views.
Arrive at your destination and enjoy an introductory wildlife drive or relaxed afternoon.

Day 08
Game Drive and Boat Safari
Wake early for another game-viewing experience. Search open habitats for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks and predators. Return to your lodge for breakfast or lunch.
Later, enjoy a boat safari where included. On waterways such as the Kazinga Channel, travelers can often see large numbers of hippos as well as crocodiles and waterbirds. Elephants and buffaloes may approach the shoreline.

Journey into Southwestern Uganda

Return to Entebbe – Departure
